This website for Woodford Dolmen Hotel is designed to be fully accessible to all. The site is designed in accordance with the W3C WAI Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and conforms to most priority 1,2 and 3 checkpoints.

Navigation shortcuts

The site can be navigated by using the tab key to traverse the elements of the each page, and by using the enter key to activate a highlighted link.

Structured, semantic markup

HTML heading tags are used to convey document structure. Navigation menus are tagged as HTML maps so that the menu title can be read out, and the menu items presented as a group.

Images

All content images include descriptive ALT attributes. Purely decorative graphics include null alt attributes.

Javascript

For users whose browser does not support Javascript, online booking may be done by clicking the “booking” link on the main menu, rather than by using the booking form on the left hand side of the page.

Standards compliance

The site is designed to conform to Level AAA compliance as specified by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and endorsed by the Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB). All pages validate as XHTML 1.0 Strict and use structured semantic markup.
